Daniel's* journey to where he is today has not been easy. Daniel had been living unhoused. But then a friend's son who worked for Wyandot Center helped him find services. Daniel soon moved into an apartment through Kim Wilson Housing (KWH).
The place needed some repairs, but Daniel fixed doors, electrical systems, and other issues himself. Despite some health concerns and years of hard labor, he still worked part-time to maintain the building he lived in. At 70 years old, with his health declining, Daniel hoped to finally rest and recover from the toll his work had taken on his body.
Daniel takes pride in his new home. He keeps it in good shape, has a good relationship with his landlords, and pays his rent on time. He spends his days with his cat, managing his health with help from food kitchens and insurance services.
